Los Angeles County police were on the hunt for a stolen truck that crashed several times during the chase.
It started in East Los Angeles, where officers spotted the stolen car around 7:30 p.m. Monday night.
The suspect recklessly evaded the officers, drove on the wrong side of the road and repeatedly ignored red lights.
The chase ended after the truck lost its driver’s side wheel and skidded near the intersection of S. Indiana Street and Dennison Street in the South Gate-East LA neighborhood.
The suspect immediately exited the car and surrendered, as the officers drew their weapons and took cover behind their police cars.
