PALERMO – Authorities say a suspect was killed Wednesday after a school shooting in the Northern California community of Palermo.

The Butte County Sheriff’s Office says the incident occurred at the Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists.

Officers confirmed the suspected shooter is dead and two students have been shot. The circumstances under which the students were shot are not detailed at this time.

Parents are told to meet their children at the Oroville Church of the Nazarene at 2238 Monte Vista Avenue.

Palermo is a city about 25 miles north of Marysville and 65 miles north of Sacramento.
