Suspect in South Shore stabbing wanted in CT death investigation

A law enforcement source tells Boston 25 that the man wanted in Saturday’s stabbing on the South Shore is also under investigation for his connection to a death in Connecticut.

Connecticut State Police responded to an address for a reported disturbance on Saturday around 3:36 p.m. Officers found a deceased person, who has not yet been identified.

A suspect in the investigation was taken into custody in Massachusetts, Connecticut State Police noted Saturday evening. They did not identify the suspect as Ravizza.

“It seems like all hell suddenly and unexpectedly broke loose in Deep River, Connecticut, a pretty easy-going town,” said Charlie Brashears, who lives near the crime scene.

Police say they responded to a disturbance call at the home in Deep River, CT and subsequently found a man dead.

‘Many, many police cars showed up and including barricading them, it looked like a bit of an ambush down there at first, they had backed both cars into two of my neighbors, and they were standing on the hood of it, I don’t know’ I knew not if they had guns or not, but they were on the hoods and they ended up just barricading the area,” Brashears said.

Brashears says the suspect and victim rented this home.

Neighbors could hear them arguing a few days ago.

“They both lived together for 2.5 weeks, it was like VRBO, they had a couple of dogs,” Brashears said.

Just hours later, police arrested him in Sandwich following his stabbing across the South Shore.

“It’s hard to wrap your brain around it,” Brashears said.

Ravizza will face multiple charges at Plymouth District Court on Tuesday, including assault with intent to murder, and two charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
