Brookhaven police are investigating a shooting involving at least one officer Thursday night.
Officers were called to a home on Caldwell Road where a burglary was in progress. While en route, the suspects and a resident of the home got into a gunfight.

They saw the suspects’ car drive away from the house and tried to pull it over, but they sped away. The suspects crashed the car at the intersection of Chamblee Dunwoody Rd. and Peachtree Industrial Blvd.
Moments later, police reported that an armed suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, got out of the car with a gun, after which an officer shot the suspect.
The suspect is currently in critical condition in hospital.

Two other suspects were arrested and not injured. Neither has been identified.
None of the officers were injured in the incident.
