On Tuesday, Tukwila police officers found a car and a gun that had been stolen in Renton.
When the police tried to stop the car, the suspect drove away.
Police say they were able to hit the tires with a deflation tool, but the suspect continued to drive on flat tires.
During the chase, the driver struck two other cars before coming to a stop at Klickitat Drive and Southcenter Parkway.
The crash injured one person in another car and the suspect.
According to police, the suspect’s condition was serious and he was taken to hospital.
The suspect had an escape warrant from the Department of Corrections.
The gun that was in the car when the car was stolen has also been found, police said.
The Tukwila Police Traffic Unit took over the accident investigation.
