(CBS DETROIT) – Four people have been arrested after they were caught with counterfeit $2,500 bills and weapons after attempting to use a counterfeit $100 bill at an Ulta Beauty store in the Detroit area, police said.

On July 30, Shelby Township officers responded to the Ulta Beauty location on Hall Road after the store manager reported a girl attempting to pay with a counterfeit $100 bill.

When the suspect was confronted with the money, she ran away and got into a vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle as it attempted to leave the parking lot and pulled it over. While speaking with the driver, they were told there was a gun in the vehicle. They later confirmed the gun was stolen out of North Carolina.

While searching the vehicle, they also found a loaded handgun, approximately $2,500 worth of counterfeit bills and fraudulently obtained property.
