Taylor Swift must have heard the cries from her fans: “Come back…Be here.”
The global pop icon – who is in the middle of headlining the highest-grossing concert tour of all time and heads a multi-billion dollar brand – missed two of his friend Travis Kelce’s NFL Kansas City Chiefs games on September 22 and 29 , and the rumor mill was churning.
Blame the debunked “breakup contract” — which claimed she and Kelce planned to announce their split on September 28 — for the speculation. The gossip intensified after Swift missed Kelce’s birthday event on October 5. Reports that Swift was merely preparing for the final leg of her “Eras Tour” and was dealing with safety concerns were ignored.
But Swift is no longer missing. She’s back and she’s everywhere – with Kelce. Here’s what she’s been up to, including announcing new merchandise.
Swift announces her first book, new vinyl
The ‘Fortnight’ singer will commemorate her record-breaking tour with a new book, she announced on October 15.
The Official Taylor Swift Eras Tour Book is a 256-page retrospective of personal reflections and more than 500 images, including never-before-seen photographs. In Swift’s announcement, she called the tour, which begins its final leg on October 18, “the most wonderful experience.” The book retails for $40 and goes on sale exclusively at Target stores on November 29.
In addition to the book, Swift is also releasing her album The Department of Martyred Poets: The Anthology for the first time on vinyl and CD. Previously only available digitally, the album features 31 songs and four acoustic bonus tracks and comes with a never-before-seen 12×12-inch poster of Swift. That will also be sold exclusively at Target.
Swift and Kelce’s baseball date
It was a night of love and baseball for the artist and Kansas City Chiefs tight end on October 14th. They watched Game 1 of the American League Championship Series between the Cleveland Guardians and the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium — a venue Swift sat in in 2022 when she gave her graduation speech at NYU. Fast and the Are you smarter than a celebrity? host dressed similarly for their night out and left holding hands.
Back-to-back Big Apple dinner dates
This weekend, cooking wasn’t on the menu for Swift and Kelce, as they spent the weekend in Manhattan, where Swift owns a $50 million estate. On October 11, the couple dined at the Corner Store, a restaurant that serves upscale American cuisine, with friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
The next evening, October 12, the two of them went to dinner at Torrisi, an Italian restaurant.
Reunited in Kansas City
Their relationship reunion tour began when, after two weeks of playing Chiefs games, Swift arrived at Arrowhead Stadium on October 7 to watch Kelce’s team play the New Orleans Saints. The couple kissed after Kelce’s win, and Swift even made a cameo in fellow Chiefs WAG Chariah Gordon’s video.
What awaits us?
Swift’s tour resumes Friday with nine dates remaining, including Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis, through Nov. 3. She’ll then head north to Canada for nine shows in Toronto and Vancouver, where the tour officially ends on December 8. Then it’s done – in time for the holidays and the NFL postseason.
Then? Fans are still waiting for two reissues, from Taylor Swift And Reputation (Taylor’s version), and we don’t expect it to be long before she releases another album of new music. Not that we’d blame her if she took a long break; it seems like she can’t stay out of the spotlight for two weeks without rumors popping up again.
