CHICAGO (CBS) — A teenager was shot and wounded Friday night in a lakeside parking lot in the Rogers Park neighborhood.
At 8:42 p.m., the 18-year-old man was in the parking lot along Touhy Avenue east of Sheridan Road when someone approached him and shot him, police said.
The teenager was hit on the right side of his torso and was taken to Ascension St. Francis Hospital in fair condition.
Leone Park is directly north of the parking lot where the shooting occurred, Loyola Park is directly south. The parking lot is just a stone’s throw from the shore of Lake Michigan.
No one has been arrested in the shooting late Friday night, and Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
