The 17-year-old girl who died after a car she was in with her sister rolled off a boat ramp into Lake Washington was identified Friday morning.

On Friday, the King County Medical Examiner identified the girl as Rasha Al Gburi, 17, of Seattle. She died from anoxic brain injury, asphyxiation and drowning. Her death was ruled an accident.

On November 20, Seattle police announced that Gburi, who was seriously injured when the driver rolled the car into the water at a boat launch in Lake Washington on November 16, died.

On November 16, Seattle Police responded to calls about a car submerged in the waters of the Atlantic City Boat Ramp in Lake Washington.

When police arrived, they found the driver, the victim’s sister, on land, but Gburi was still in the water.

The victim was later pulled unconscious from the water.

Crews performed life-saving steps and transported her to Harborview Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.
