NEW YORK – Police have arrested a suspect in the deadly August shooting Traffic accident on Henry Hudson Parkway who killed a groom the day before his wedding.

Kirk Walker, 38, and his cousin Robert McLaurin, 40, died in the early morning crash. Walker and his fiancee were would get married the next day.

Police have arrested a 17-year-old who is facing multiple charges, including murder and leaving the scene of an accident.

The accident happened on August 24 at around 2:00 AM.

Police said the teen was driving southbound in the northbound lane of Henry Hudson when he collided head-on with another car.

Walker and McLaurin were pronounced dead at the scene.

Walker’s fiancée and other family members held a vigil the next day, on what would have been their wedding day.

Mayor Eric Adams $1,000 of his own money as a reward in the casewhat he called a “horrible, horrible incident.”

“Every accident is a terrible accident, but some can end in Shakespearean tragedies. The day before your ceremony, the family is devastated, as you can imagine,” Adams said.
