A series of storms are expected to move through the Bay Area starting this weekend and last through most of next week, bringing rain, saturated soils and dangerous ocean conditions.
Friday’s sunny skies will give way to a “parade of impactful storms” that should begin late Friday evening, with the first of two low-pressure systems over the weekend flooding the region with up to an inch and a half of rain, according to the National Weather Service.
Over the weekend, southerly winds will increase in strength and boggy conditions will saturate the ground, producing a second pair of storms expected to occur Monday through Thursday.
A High Surf Advisory is expected to last from 6am Saturday to 4pm Sunday, with a High Surf Warning likely on Monday and Tuesday due to life-threatening large wave conditions along the beaches and some bayside locations.
