The crowd in St. Louis greets Tom Brady with boos

People don’t forget.

Even in St. Louis, where locals currently hate the Rams, fans still have a sore spot when it comes to the lingering perception that New England’s victory in Super Bowl XXXVI was tainted by cheating.

And so when Patriots quarterback Tom Brady returned to St. Louis on Sunday to present the UFL Championship MVP award to Birmingham Stallions quarterback Adrian Martinez, St. Louis fans responded.

Here’s one videoof X. (Maybe she can remove the boos for the rebroadcast.)

Before presenting the MVP trophy, Brady appeared in the Fox broadcast booth in the second quarter. Before the game, Brady was on the field chatting with former Rams quarterback Kurt Warner, who has said in the past that there was a “bit of doubt‘ whether the Patriots were planning anything related to what would have been the second St. Louis championship in three seasons.

Brady better get used to being booed. His Patriots have been trampling the league for years. There is still a lot of resentment.

And if Brady goes to Buffalo, maybe he will something other than boos waiting for him.
