The Crystal Rasch case in Dodge County changes from a missing person investigation to a death investigation

JUNEAU – The investigation into the disappearance of Crystal Rasch, 37, who was reported missing on June 23, has transitioned to an investigation into the woman’s death.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office announced the change in the investigation in a July 3 press release.

“The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has been conducting an ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Crystal Rasch, and through the investigation, it has been determined that this case is no longer a missing person investigation, but has transitioned to a death investigation,” the release said. “No details regarding the death investigation are being released in order to maintain the integrity of the investigation, as this remains a very active investigation.”

Crystal Rasch’s estranged husband, Zachariah Rasch, 42, of Clyman, was arrested on suspicion of accessing Crystal Rasch’s financial accounts after she went missing. He was arrested on multiple charges of suspected unauthorized use of an individual’s personal identifying information and is being held in the Dodge County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.

Crystal Rasch, of Clyman, was last seen on or about June 11 and was reported missing on June 23. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is searching for her only through law enforcement-sanctioned searches.

No further details were released on July 3.
