Two of the three blue chip indexes hit new closing highs on Black Friday, the final session of what has been a banner November.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 192 points, or 0.4%, to a record 44,915 points. The S&P 500 climbed 0.6% to 6,032 points.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite was also in the green, rising 0.8%. It is trading just below the all-time high it reached on November 11.
