The drug trafficker did not want to get out of the car, but hinted that there was something inside, state security representatives said

A deputy on I-20 in Haralson County spotted a driver pulling behind a tractor-trailer earlier this week. When the driver saw the deputy, he changed lanes and began weaving between cars.

The deputy stopped the driver, later identified as 27-year-old Bryan Shaque Steele of Greenville, Alabama.

When Steele would not get out of the car as the officer instructed him to do, the officer reached into the car, unlocked it, opened the door and pulled Steele out.

While being arrested for obstruction, Steele made statements that led the deputy to believe there might be something in the car.

The deputy found two guns under the driver’s seat, one of which had been stolen in Louisiana.

He also found seven individual bags of MDMA, also known as ecstasy, weighing a total of 232 grams, which is about half a pound. Researchers say this is enough ecstasy to classify as human trafficking.

Steele is now charged with trafficking in MDMA, obstruction, possession of a weapon and various traffic violations.

He is currently being held in the Haralson County Jail.
