The emergency rooms at two Delaware County hospitals have been closed indefinitely due to problems with their radiology systems, a spokesperson for Crozer Health tells CBS News Philadelphia.

According to the health system representative, the emergency rooms at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland and Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, which are owned by Prospect Medical Holdings, are both currently closed.

The emergency department shutdown comes just weeks after the Pennsylvania attorney general’s office announced Prospect Medical Holdings sued for alleged ‘neglect and mismanagement’.

In the lawsuit, Pennsylvania’s attorney general said there are signs that Crozer-Chester could see services suspended and in danger of closing, following guidance from Delaware County Landmark and Springfield Hospitals.

Prospect Medical Holdings called the filing of the lawsuit “hasty” and “completely unnecessary.”

Earlier this year, Crozer Health announced that Taylor Hospital would do so stop performing operations and consolidate operations at other locations.

This is a development story. CBS News Philadelphia will provide more details as new information becomes available.
