ADRIAN — Race Street and a portion of the Kiwanis Trail in Adrian will be closed to the public during the afternoon and evening hours of Friday, July 5, as the City of Adrian prepares to light up downtown with a First Fridays fireworks show sponsored by TLC Community Credit Union.

Streets in the city center will be closed from 2:30 p.m. Friday until approximately 9:30 p.m., according to a press release from the City of Adrian, as Adrian celebrates the brand new fireworks display and “Big Wheels” for the monthly edition of First Fridays in July.

People are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs to Comstock Park, 263 W. Maumee St., at the corner of Church and West Maumee Streets, for the best view of the fireworks display, which begins at sunset.

DJ John Hess will be in Comstock Park to keep guests dancing from 7:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
