The husband of a San Antonio woman who has been missing for a month has been charged with murder.
Brad Simpson is charged in the death of Suzanne Simpson, 51, a mother of four who was last seen by her neighbor outside her San Antonio home on Oct. 7, officials said.
The Texas Department of Public Safety did not provide additional details in announcing the charges Thursday. Officials will hold a news conference Friday afternoon.
Authorities have not publicly announced that Suzanne Simpson’s body has been found.
According to court records, Simpson was arrested on October 10 on domestic violence charges.
No one from the Bexar County Public Defender’s Office, which represented Simpson, could immediately be reached for comment Thursday evening.
NBC affiliate WOAI reported that neighbors called police last month after hearing the couple arguing.
A police report obtained by the department shows that a neighbor saw the couple physically fighting. The neighbor later also heard screams coming from nearby woods.
A federal complaint was filed against Simpson the day after he was arrested last month. According to the complaint, he is accused of unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle that was not registered in his name.
