A recent USA Today reader poll found that Illinois boasts one of the best boat shows in the United States.
USA TODAY determined the top shows by asking a panel of experts for nominations. Readers then voted on the top choices, naming the Discover Boating Chicago Boat Show the fifth best event of its kind in the country.
“In addition to the vessels for sale, live music, cooking events, a trout pond, a children’s corner and a display of antique and classic boats make this event a highlight,” USA Today wrote in the winning entry.
USA Today announced the winners on May 8.
