A pursuit by the Iowa State Patrol has temporarily restricted travel on eastbound Interstate 235, according to a news release from the Des Moines Police Department.
DMPD sent out an alert at approximately 8:07 a.m. asking drivers to avoid the roadway.
West Des Moines police had multiple police cars blocking eastbound Interstate 80 at the Jordan Creek Parkway on-ramps shortly after 8 a.m. as traffic in the area backed up.
