December 4 – A man reportedly walked down Main Street shouting profanities at passing vehicles and pretending to walk against traffic. He then stood on the street corner and claimed he had a gun and would shoot people within seven minutes. The man didn’t want to leave town and told Kalispell Police officers he hoped to be on a flight to Las Vegas that evening.
Someone called the police to check on a neighbor they didn’t know after a food delivery was on her doorstep for a few weeks and there was no response when they knocked on her door. Police contacted the tenant who was out of town and all went well.
A woman reportedly threatened to burn down a building, banged on tables and vandalized someone’s office.
A woman reportedly received a phone call from an ex’s boss warning her that he was threatening her life. She told officers she had received more vague threats from him and blocked his phone number and social media. Officers advised her to seek a temporary restraining order.
Someone heard screaming in a home and called police after the parents of a woman’s ex allegedly showed up at her home and started an argument regarding a custody battle. Officers checked to see if the children were okay.
Someone who called officers was concerned for the well-being of an allegedly intoxicated man in Depot Park because he could barely stand. Officers checked the man, who could also barely speak, and measured his alcohol level at 0.311%. He was ticketed for being drunk in the park and told to leave.
