The Maryland Department of Agriculture is seeking candidates for appointment to the many boards and committees within the department, prioritizing diverse industry leaders who are passionate about actively providing direction and perspective to the programs and workforce of the department.
There are vacancies on all department boards and committees with many opportunities for cooperatives, farmers and industry contacts to participate.
“Our boards and commissions play an integral role in providing policy and recommendations to the department,” said Kevin Atticks, Maryland Secretary of Agriculture. “The opportunity for stakeholders and partners with unique backgrounds and experiences in agriculture to play a role in our work is critical to the development of Maryland agriculture. I encourage our agricultural partners and industry leaders to consider applying for these positions.”
