MINNEAPOLIS— Floods are continues to impact many parts of Minnesotaincluding the Twin Cities metro area.
The Mississippi River is expected to peak this weekend, putting the river in major flood stage. Currently, St. Paul is in moderate flood stage, with the water level at approximately 18 feet. It is expected to reach 6.7 meters on Saturday.
Flooding along the Minnesota River is also a concern. Three attractions at Valleyfair will be closed for the rest of the week due to high water levels. The Minnesota River is also expected to rise later this week.

In St. Paul, the Mississippi River continues to creep uphill toward Harriet Island.
St. Paul Public Works and Emergency Services have been busy boarding up the Harriet Island Pavilion, closing trails, roads and more.
“I’m just trying to walk here and realize that’s not exactly an option,” St. Paul resident Christopher Porkosh said.
