The Moldovan security adviser accuses Moscow of interfering in the elections

The national security adviser to Moldova’s pro-Western president Maia Sandu accused Russia on Sunday of significant interference in the ongoing second presidential election.

Stanislav Secrieru wrote on Platform The authorities are on high alert. “

Authorities are reportedly alarmed by the organized transport of voters to the polls in the breakaway region of Transnistria, where Russian troops are stationed, which Secrieru says is illegal.

Secrieru also reported that organized transport from Russia is being arranged with buses and charter flights to transport voters to Baku, Istanbul and Minsk. He shared a video circulating on social media that reportedly shows individuals holding their Moldovan passports on a plane bound for Minsk.

There had been previous complaints about limited voting options for Moldovans living in Russia, as only two polling stations were open in Moscow. He stated that the flight is clear evidence of a large-scale organized effort to transport voters.
