Orlando International Airport expects this Thanksgiving to be a little lighter than last year when it comes to travel.

The airport is preparing for 1.9 million passengers to pass through during the twelve days from November 22 to December 3. That total is lower than last year’s record of 2.1 million – but higher than 1.75 million in 2022.

The busiest day will be December 1, when 181,688 arriving and departing passengers are expected to arrive.
Airport officials said 2024 is lower than last year because 2023 was an outlier for passenger activity and set a record. The airport also cited some airlines reducing the number of flights and delays in providing new aircraft.
