Authorities are searching for an attempted murder suspect who fled from a San Bernardino County jail on Sunday.
Deshaun Stamps, 29, has been in custody since Jan. 30, 2023, on attempted murder charges, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials.
Around 12:20 a.m. Sunday, officers discovered Stamps had escaped from custody at the West Valley Detention Center during an “outdoor recreation period,” according to a department statement.
They describe Stamps as being 6 feet tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He is bald with green eyes and has tattoos on his neck and head. It’s unclear what clothing he might be wearing, officers said.
“Do not attempt to contact Stamps,” the statement said.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact emergency services by calling 911.
