SEPTA’s first fare increase in seven years goes into effect on Sunday, December 1. The reduced base fare increases from $2 to $2.50 for buses, subways and trolleys. That’s the same as the current cash rate. Regional rail riders will see an increase of $0.25 to $1 per trip, depending on where you’re going. Daily, weekly and monthly passes remain the same price.
