The Philadelphia 76ers were perhaps the most snake-bitten team in the NBA. It only got worse.

Rookie guard Jared McCain, a top candidate for Rookie of the Year honors, suffered a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee on Friday and will require surgery that will keep him out indefinitely, the Sixers announced.
