HARRISBURG – Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate was unchanged at 3.4% in October, the Department of Labor and Industry announced Friday.
It was the thirteenth straight month with an identical rate, the longest streak ever dating back to 1976. The state’s unemployment rate also remained well below the national rate of 4.1%, which itself was unchanged from the month before.
October data is preliminary and subject to possible future revisions.
