Disney fans, hold on to your mouse ears because the countdown to D23 has begun, as the three-day expo kicks off in Anaheim on Friday.
If you don’t have a ticket to the ultimate Disney fan event at the Anaheim Convention Center, you can attend part of it on Saturday, as CBS News Los Angeles will be broadcast live on D23.
Starting at 12:00, KCAL entertainment correspondent Suzanne Marques and industry insider Grae Drake will join fans to show you everything there is to see on the show floor.
The three-day expo’s events highlight the stories and innovations of The Walt Disney Company and offer something for every type of Disney fan, from the worlds of Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar and more.
Events will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center, Honda Center and Disneyland Resort from August 9-11.
The biennial event features panels, booths, merchandise and Disney news from the past and present. Each year, the event has hosted some of the biggest announcements in the world of Disney films and theme parks.
D23 was founded in 2009 and is the official fan club for the Walt Disney Company. The name refers to the year Walt Disney founded the company, 1923.
Only members of the D23 Fan Club can purchase tickets for this weekend’s event. Joining the D23 Fan Club is free, but there are bigger benefits for paid memberships.
