The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Teaser: “The Final Timeline”

The umbrellas (and one sparrow) are back in the first teaser trailer The Umbrella Academy‘s fourth and final season.

The trailer, set to a remix of “The Final Countdown,” teases the show’s “final timeline” after three seasons of the main cast’s time-traveling, universe-saving adventures.

More from The Hollywood Reporter

The Umbrella Academy season four picks up after the climax at Hotel Oblivion, which resulted in a reset of their timeline and stripped the original crew of their various powers.

The result leaves the fan-favorite siblings “fending for themselves and finding a new normal with wildly varying degrees of success,” reads the show’s description. “Yet the trappings of their eerie new world prove too difficult to ignore for very long. Their father Reginald, alive and well, has stepped out of the shadows and into the public eye to oversee a powerful and nefarious business empire.”

At the same time, “a mysterious association known as The Keepers is holding clandestine meetings, believing that the reality they live in is a lie and that a great reckoning is coming.”

So the final season will present the group with an ultimate test: will they be able to put things right once and for all?

The Umbrella Academy, originally based on the Dark Horse comic book series by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan and Aidan Gallagher as the original set of six siblings. Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, Colm Feore, Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally and David Cross round out the main cast of the series’ fourth season, from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.

The final season will be released on Netflix on August 8.
