The Walnut Street residence in Oshkosh was closed after continued drug-related arrests

OSHKOSH – A home at 1402 Walnut St. has been closed by Winnebago County Circuit Court after ongoing drug-related arrests at the property.

Seven people aged 35-74 were arrested at the residence on June 6 and 11 people aged 29-74 were arrested at the residence on April 9. These arrests came after search warrants were served on the property following an investigation by the vice president of police. and Narcotics Unit. The names of those arrested have not been released.

Oshkosh police said in a June 11 news release that the closure of the home comes after “ongoing drug-related issues” and the property “is deemed by the court to be a public nuisance.”

Police said the court order states that the property is closed and no one is allowed to enter, visit, occupy or reside there.

The city of Oshkosh and the Oshkosh Police Department have the authority to enter the property at any time to enforce and ensure compliance with the court order, police said.

No further details were immediately released.
