U.S. News & World Report just released their 2025 elementary and middle school rankings in each state, and Barrington Public Schools tops the charts for Rhode Island with four rankings.
The digital media company used data from the U.S. Department of Education to base their rankings of more than 70,000 public schools on four indicators: math proficiency, reading proficiency, math achievement and reading achievement. Analyzed schools were then scored based on a formula that took into account the four criteria and the socio-economic context.
