Donald Trump carried the state and won South Carolina’s nine electoral college votes. With 89% of the votes counted, Trump had 1,404,189 votes, 59% to Kamala Harris’ 951,302, 40%.

Incumbent US Congressmen Jim Clyburn and Joe Wilson held on to their seats.

School District 1 from Tuesday 10:30 PM

Incumbents Angela Clyburn and Tamika Myers and challengers John Black, Angela Brown and Richard Moore. By 10:30 p.m., 71,697 ballots had been counted. Moore received 25.47%, followed closely by Brown with 24.4% and Clyburn with 24.19%. Myers received 17.73% of the vote and Black received 7.75%.

School District 2 from 10:30 p.m

10,576 ballots had been counted. Incumbent Jamie Devine received 33.59%, Steven Diaz received 28.22%, Christa Williams received 28.02% and Lee Carroll received 9.82%.

Lower Richland voters chose a board member from two candidates for the District 4 seat, including incumbent Cheryl Harris and challenger Ericka Hursey.

As of 10:30 p.m., 12,711 ballots had been counted. Hursey had a strong lead with 62.89% of the vote, while Harris received 36.79%.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott was on track to defeat Jim Walker with 83% of the vote and 64% of the votes counted.

The transport cent sales tax the extension was the priority and 62% voted yes.
