Thousands of dollars worth of equipment stolen from Olympia Yacht Club boat, police say

Olympia police are asking for help after a boat was broken into at the Olympia Yacht Club.

The yacht club is downtown and the docks are located north of the Bayview Thriftway.

The crime occurred sometime between 4 p.m. on May 17 and 3 p.m. on May 18, according to Lt. Paul Lower.

Lower said someone boarded the boat, which was tied to a mooring at the yacht club, and then stole about $2,100 worth of navigation equipment.
