Three hit-skip accidents are under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office

BUCYRUS − A collision has led to a Crestline man being charged with a crime.

However, the accident he was involved in is not the only accident police are investigating.

Richard D. Kuhn, 57, pleaded not guilty June 3 in Crawford County Common Pleas Court to one count of failure to stop after an accident, a fourth-degree felony. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and reportedly has his own attorney.

According to Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall, a Crestline man reported he was struck by a vehicle driven by Kuhn on Middletown Road between Crestline and Galion on May 2. The victim is said to have suffered serious physical injuries.

Crall said a bicycle and car crash occurred on Stetzer Road near Stephanie Drive on the same day in May.

“The driver of the vehicle came to the Sheriff’s Office after realizing she had struck a person,” Crall said in a news release.

He said the case has been forwarded to his office for possible charges.

No driver has been identified in yet another collision involving a cyclist.

“The Sheriff’s Office also investigated a crash on Fairview Avenue north of Galion last October. No suspect was ever identified in that case, despite a reward offer from a Galion family,” Crall said.

Any information regarding these accidents can be reported to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office at 419-562-7906.
