Three injured after MTA bus crash in South LA

Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash involving a Metro bus in south Los Angeles on Sunday.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the collision happened around 11 a.m. near the 5000 block of S. Broadway.

Fire officials say that of the eight people examined at the scene, one was seriously injured, a second suffered minor injuries and a third refused medical transport to a nearby hospital. The five other people were examined, but had no medical complaints.

The circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear.

Investigators did not report whether the injured were aboard the bus or in the cars involved in the crash.

No further information was provided.
