The owner of a Lake Lawrence-area home has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office announced in an update Sunday afternoon.
The arrest was the result of an investigation into the death that began around 8 a.m. the same day.
Officers were dispatched to a home near Lake Lawrence on 153rd Avenue Southeast and were told there were two people in the home, according to a news release.
Detectives entered the home and found an unconscious man on the floor, but no other residents.
However, during their investigation, they established probable cause to arrest the homeowner, although it was not immediately clear where they made the arrest.
Detectives also determined that the victim was from Pierce County and was a guest at the home.
A cause of death was not announced.
