The famous TikTokker convicted of brutally murdering his wife and the man he believed she was dating will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

A California judge handed down the sentence on September 6, after Ali Abulaban was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder in May.

“The bottom line is you’re going to die in prison,” Judge Jeffrey Fraser said to loud applause from the gallery during Friday’s sentencing hearing, which was streamed live on Court TV. “You’ll never be a free man.”

The judge sentenced him to two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of probation, plus an additional 50 years in prison for the weapons charge.

Fraser called Abulaban “a very selfish person” and noted that the TikTokker had shown no remorse: “It’s horrifying,” he said.

During the hearing, Abulaban said he was entitled to parole, according to Court TV. “Being sent to prison forever feels like I’m being sent to hell and I don’t think that’s fair,” he told the judge.

Ali was already estranged from his wife, Ana Marie Abulaban, when in October 2021, through a listening device he secretly installed on their 5-year-old daughter’s iPad, he listened to her private conversations and heard the voice of another man in the couple’s home.

He stormed into their San Diego apartment, shot the man – Rayburn Barron, 29 – three times, then turned the gun on his wife, shooting her in the head.

Hours earlier, Ana Ali had sent a text message saying, “I want you out of my life,” NBC San Diego later reported from the courtroom.

After Ali shot his wife, he immediately called his mother and confessed to the killings, CBS 8 reported.

Abulaban confessed again while testifying.

“I’m shooting and I can’t stop,” he said during the televised broadcast on Court TV. “I just snapped.”

“I had my gun in my hand and the next moment I shot,” he added.

It wasn’t the first time the TikTok star — famous for his comedic impersonations of characters like Scarface and Skyrim — had been violent toward his wife, Ali reportedly testified. (On the stand, he admitted to drug use and hitting Ana in the past.)

A month before the shooting, Ana had filed a police report documenting his abuse, Deputy District Attorney Taren Brast said during a preliminary hearing reported by The Los Angeles Times.

The tumultuous relationship was no secret.

“Guys, don’t get married. I threw my whole life away for her,” he says.

Viewers supported Ali in the comments, with one telling him to “be strong.” Another suggested that the police might be on their way to his house: “If they are there, just keep your mouth shut.”

During a victim impact statement at the sentencing hearing, Ana’s sister said, via Court TV, that if she had known what Ana was going through, “I would have flown out to her again and done my best to get her away from you.”

Ana was born in the Philippines and her body was to be returned to her parents after the murder investigation so she could be buried in her hometown, according to a GoFundMe her family set up to help cover the costs.

Ana Guajardo, a family member, called the shooting a “senseless tragedy” and a “devastating loss,” writing on the GoFundMe page that her killing had “left a crater of grief not only on our family, but also on her friends and colleagues.”

“Losing a loved one is never easy,” Guajardo added. “Losing a daughter, a sister, a mother in such a violent way is incomprehensible.”

Ana’s friend, Barron, was described in another GoFundMe set up by his relative Omar Barron for his funeral in Mexico as “the glue that binds his family together, always reaching out to his family to bring everyone closer together.”

He added: “He was a loyal friend who you could always count on in times of need.”
