The US men’s national team suffered another setback on Saturday.
According to The Athletic, Tim Weah has been handed a two-match ban following his red card against Panama on Thursday.
The winger hit defender Roderick Miller’s head in the 18th minute of the USA’s eventual 2-1 defeat.
This means that even if the Americans beat Uruguay in their group final, they will be without Weah in the quarterfinals.
The US must match or exceed Panama’s result against Bolivia to advance to the next round.
