WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump has selected his lawyer Todd Blanche as deputy attorney general, Trump said on Thursday.
Blanche, a former federal prosecutor, led Trump’s defense in his trial over hush money paid to a porn star.
He also handled several other lawsuits for Trump.
Trump attorney Emil Bove was appointed principal deputy attorney general and acting deputy attorney general by the president-elect, Trump said in a statement, adding that Blanche is currently being confirmed by the Senate.
