Trump Roasted for Epic Freudian Slip on American Democracy

Donald Trump is either trying to make Pennsylvania sports fans hate him, or sending cryptic QAnon signals — or maybe he should just hire a proofreader.

In an email to his supporters on Monday evening, Trump added a funny typo that caught the attention of many of his critics.

“Working at McDonalds, a town hall, a Stealers [sic] game – no one is working harder than President Trump to make America great again!” the read campaign newsletter.

Trump is trying, and thanks to the typo that fails badly, to portray himself as a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, named after the city’s steel industry (an industry that Trump ultimately disadvantaged Through its rates in his previous term). He even went so far as to have one strange AI-generated photo of himself with the number 47 jersey. Although the song likely refers to the forty-seventh president, it reminded real fans of ex-Steelers player Mel Blount: which Kamala Harris endorsed.

Similarly, Elon Musk got a clue online after trying to root for both the Steelers and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Trump’s “Stealers” flub was seized upon by Rep. Adam Schiff, who recently threatened Trump, call him “the enemy within.” The Democratic representative snidely called the mistake a “authoritarian slip.”

If the typo was in fact an accident, and not a call to “stop the stealing,” perhaps Trump should reconsider his call to Ministry of Educationwhich ensures that the country’s children learn to spell.
