A two-alarm fire that prompted mutual aid from several area fire departments was quickly extinguished at a Bloomfield apartment complex Sunday.
Firefighters responded to the fire on Barry Circle shortly before 3:50 p.m. and found heavy fire coming from the second floor of the building, according to the Bloomfield Center Fire Department.
Crews from Bloomfield Center and the Blue Hills Fire Department were the first to respond before a second alarm was activated, fire officials said. Task Force 52 responded, including firefighters from the Windsor, Windsor Locks, East Granby Volunteer, Bradley, Suffield and Connecticut Air National Guard Fire Departments.
Crews from the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company provided coverage of the station.
The fire was quickly brought under control. No injuries were reported, the fire brigade said.
The fire remains under investigation by the Blue Hills Fire Department Fire Marshals Office.
