Three people were taken to hospital in critical condition after their car crashed into a home in Eagle Rock on Saturday.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident was reported around 10:15 a.m. in the 1900 block of N. Avenue 51.

It’s unclear what caused the car to crash into the house, but when firefighters arrived, they found the vehicle, a silver sedan, almost completely entrenched in the building.

“The crew was able to quickly extract the adults and one child from the wreckage and transport the three in critical condition,” their statement said.

It is unclear whether anyone was in the house at the time of the collision.

No further information has been provided.

Video footage of the event shows the car being pulled from the house as dozens of bystanders watch.
