CHICAGO (CBS) — A fight at a West Side funeral left at least two Chicago police officers hospitalized.

The funeral service was held at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in the 4300 block of West Madison in West Garfield Park.

Police were called to the scene around 12:30 p.m. due to an apparent fight that broke out in the church. Emergency services reported that some of the responding officers were attacked by funeral goers.

Video posted to Facebook appeared to show an officer bleeding from the head.

The scene appeared to get out of hand as officers became overwhelmed. Officers on the scene urged an unknown number of people involved in the collision to be taken into custody and to leave the church immediately.
