Oct. 26—JAMESTOWN — Two people were recently sentenced on felony charges in Southeast District Court in Jamestown.

John Vincent Swan, 55, Jamestown, pleaded guilty to terror, a class C misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor.

Swan was charged with placing another human being in fear for the safety of that person or any other person, or causing serious disruption or public inconvenience and causing terror, disruption or public inconvenience when he repeatedly and ultimately threatened from April 26 to ‘shoot’ someone or words in that sentence. -29.

Judge Daniel Narum sentenced Swan to one day in the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation with credit for one day served. Narum placed Swan on one year of supervised probation and ordered him to perform 100 hours of community service. Swan must perform at least 10 hours of community service per month. Narum ordered Swan to participate in the 24/7 Sobriety Program for a year, continue treatment at Veterans Affairs, and see a counselor or psychiatrist once a month. Narum ordered Swan to have no contact with employees of any particular company and to pay $25 community service, a $400 criminal administrative fee, a $100 defense/facility administration fee, a $35 indigent defense application fee, a $300 indigent fee and a $25 victim surcharge. witness rate to be paid.

A Class C felony is punishable by five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. A Class B misdemeanor is punishable by 30 days in jail and a $1,500 fine.

Heather Lynn Larson, 43, Jamestown, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, class C felonies.

Larson was charged with possession of a syringe used with methamphetamine in a previous conviction in 2015 on May 26, and multiple syringes used with methamphetamine in a previous conviction in 2015 on July 20.

Narum sentenced Larson to 26 days in the Stutsman County Correctional Center with credit for 26 days served. Narum placed Larson on one year of supervised probation and ordered her to undergo a chemical dependency evaluation and complete recommended treatment. Larson was also ordered to pay an $800 criminal administrative fee, a $200 defense/facility administration fee and a $50 victim-witness fee.
