In just two days, voters will head to the polls on Election Day to make their voices heard. Thousands of others have already voted early or absentee.
The polling stations open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Iowans also have one more time before then to vote on candidates for president, Congress, the Legislature and county seats.

Do I still have time to vote early?
Yes. Voters can still vote early on Monday. Please contact your accounting firm for times.
Polk County Elections Office, 120 Second Ave. in Des Moines, will be open for early voting Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In Dallas County, the auditor’s office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 210 N. 10th St. in Adel.
I voted early. How can I be sure my vote has been counted?
Absentee and early voters can track their ballots on the Secretary of State’s website. If you have not already mailed in your absentee ballot, you must turn it in to your accountant by 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Under a recent change, ballots must be received — and not postmarked — by Election Day.
When are the polls open on Election Day in Iowa?
The polling stations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. November 5 If you are in line when the polls close, you can still vote.
Where do I vote in Iowa for the 2024 elections?
To find your polling place, visit the Iowa Secretary of State’s website at sos.iowa.gov/elections. There you can find your constituency number and voting location.
What should I bring to vote?
Registered voters must have their ID with them when they go to the polls. You may present a driver’s license, non-operator ID, U.S. passport, military ID, veteran ID, tribal ID, or Iowa voter ID.
I am not registered. Can I still vote?
Yes. On election day you can register at your polling station. Find out if you are registered to vote on the Iowa Secretary of State website.
If you are not registered, bring identification and proof of residency, such as a rental contract, utility bill, pay stub or property tax bill.
How do I know who is on my ballot?
Once you find your precinct and voting location, your county auditor should have corresponding sample ballots on their website.
