(CBS DETROIT) – Two women, ages 63 and 88, were killed after their vehicle was struck from behind on southbound M-53 in Shelby Township on Wednesday.
Police said the crash happened near 22 Mile Road around 12:52 p.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 33-year-old man was driving on M-53 when he crashed into another vehicle near a construction site. The two women were pronounced dead at the scene.
The male driver was taken to a hospital and arrested for two offenses resulting in death.
