Vancouver Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers appears to have avoided a serious injury and will join the team on its upcoming road trip.

Myers played one shift in last night’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers before leaving with an injury. The defender was in serious pain and although nothing had been officially announced from the team, there were fears that whatever injury he suffered could have been serious.

Vancouver begins a four-game road trip at the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday. It is unclear if Myers will miss games due to his injury, but it is encouraging that he will still travel with the team.
