CHICAGO (CBS) — The newly crowned Ultimate Fighting Championship champion received a warm welcome in the south suburbs of Chicago on Sunday when he returned home from his historic bout.
Belal Muhammad, the new UFC welterweight champion, was honored with a victor parade in Bridgeview, with hundreds of supporters in attendance.
Muhammad, a native of the South Side, is the first Palestinian-American to win the title, and also the first fighter from Chicago.
He only won two weeks ago.
He dedicated his victory to the Palestinian community.
